Fully utilized day
Finally I'm on leave after working so hard for the past few days.
Met up with Bang today in the morning to hit the gym at tampines. I was so thankful that the gym was not really crowded, which also means that we can maximize our training session too.
So after 2hrs, we decided to go for a tan since the weather is good ( anyway we have planned to go for a tan after our gym session anyway)
Enjoyed the hot sun and the harmful effects of UV rays despite knowing the fact that they kill !
I did my research about tanning and I've learnt so much from the net, allow me to share you briefly, if you want to know more, you can always check out the net.
1. Tanning causes the skin to age / wrinkle instead of giving your body a healthy glow.
2. Sunburnt is the short term effect of tanning, where your skin skin starts to turn reddish, itch and peel off after a few days.
3. UV rays consists of UVA and UVB, be aware that UVB is much more dangerous, so when you get your tanning lotion, get the one with broad spectrum which protects you from UVA and UVB
4. Our skin become tanned because of the absorption of UV rays from our skin. (skin reaction to UV rays)
5. Sunscreen and Sunblock is totally different. Those commonly used sunscreen like Banana Boat Golden / Dark tanning (on the left) helps to absorb more UV rays. Thats the reason why people gets tanner when they used sunscreens.
Whereas for sunblocks (like the Nivea Sun Block SPF20 which I'm using, on the right), it helps to reflect the rays and will minimise the damage done to your skin.
But nivea termed some of their sunblocks as sunscreen too, so as not to complicate things, look for protection against UVA and UVB. And get at least SPF 15.
6. Sun tanning causes skin cancer (I'm sure you don't want that right, so stop your excessive sun tanning activities.)
7. Commercialised tanning beds do the same amount of damage as the sun
Bottomline: Do not involve too much in tanning activities, and be sure to get the right sunblocks with SPF of 15( at least).
After our tan, we went to the nearby Nihon Mura Japanese Restaurant to have lunch. Had a great time there with relatively nice food. Enjoyed the Hot Pot Beef soup. The beef is nice and tender and the soup adds flavour to it. Nice and affordable with good ambience.
We and bang piled up a total of 14 sushi plates, WOAH !
Ratings : 6/10
After that, we left for home and had a good mid day nap !
That's all for today, catch more updates here . Take care everyone !
