Long Weekend
How I've always longed for such a good, long weekend manx !
I do not know if my weekend was eventful but I guess I spent most of my time resting and being involved in a event over at the Singapore Turf Club. Has been a great working experience with mk, jason foo and chen long. WOAH !! they are just a good bunch of people to be cranky with manx.Ok movie updates in awhile...
I spent my entire afternoon rushing on my report, it is half way through and I'm struggling!!! Still alive and kicking though :)
Mk is like the platform of my distress. He was like rushing me to get out of my home because we are supposed to meet for dinner and movie.
We went to P.S and got good seats for the movie MADE OF HONOUR, we went to SUSHI TEI, paragon, to have our dinner. Frankly speaking, even though we have been working in ST for months, we just couldnt resist the food over there. SAKAE SUSHI diners out there, would you like to consider Sushi Tei if you are going SAKAE again for your next meal?
We had scallops, grilled squid, swordfish sashimi, sal belly soup, beef ramen ( for me) , ebi Don (for mk) and more...
Just a little advice: Avoid the ebi don, it dont really taste good.
Our dinner was made complete with a complementary desert, ice cream with crepe, by the manager.
Fabulous is the word to describe it ! It comes with a price though, we spent like $80 for a meal like that... Worth it but watch your spending little kid. haha
Alright movie updates :
Synopsis:
For Tom (Patrick Dempsey), life is good: hes sexy, successful, has great luck with the ladies, and knows he can always rely on Hannah (Michelle Monaghan), his delightful best friend and the one constant in his life. Its the perfect setup until Hannah goes overseas to Scotland on a six-week business trip and Tom is stunned to realize how empty his life is without her. He resolves that when she gets back, hell ask Hannah to marry him but is floored when he learns that she has become engaged to a handsome and wealthy Scotsman and plans to move overseas. When Hannah asks Tom to be her maid of honor, he reluctantly agrees to fill the role but only so he can attempt to woo Hannah and stop the wedding before its too late.
My rating : 3.5 /5 stars ( you gotta catch it, esp lovely dovey couples out there)
I feel the movie teaches alot on how you express urself to the one you really love. How many of a time we got mistaken with things that shouldn't meant the way it ought to be.
Or.....its only when someone whom you cherish leaves you then you start to realise that you gotta open urself up, be frank and express it out. And by the time you realised that, it is just too late....
The implication here does not only deals with you and your gf/bf but also those whom you loved so much but dare not express your love to them, your PARENTS.
I shall not go any deeper into that, else i will be like spending the entire night typing it out and then dozing off in my office tmr.
Bottomline:
For couples: Be frank with one another, always express yourself the best you know how to your partner. Honesty is the best policy yeah. Share whatever is in your mind, be it a blunder you've made or when you feel like praising your partner. I guess both genders appreciate words of affirmation, encouragement, compliments and most importantly being confided to one another.
Family: Dont you agree, as we grow older in age, there is a always a gradual escalation in the propensity to hide our feelings/thoughts from our parents. In times of trouble, your friends are always the 1st whom you turned to, and your parents may be the last in your mind to seek help from. Why is this so? I guess, it only boils down to the relationship you have built with your parents all these years.
Suggested steps:
1)Tell them how much you love them
2)Thank them for the little things that they do for you
3)Share with them how lousy/good you feel for that particular day
4)Sought them for advice when you need any
It takes 2 hands to clap too. So likewise parents should play their part too. I have noticed Caucasian parents have modeled the roles of being parents really well. Thumbs up !
Who says we can't gain anything from the movies?
What a joke....
Oh yeah, mk and I saw Swing and Shu Xian at the MRT escalator. Wooh we could barely recognized them, but still we did some catching up within that few mins before we bid one another goodbye. wahaa, i got a craving to catch CHOCOLATE and WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS this week, any interested parties bo ? haha and i need MK's Safra card. wahaa
Tired .... buenas noches !
