a lesson learnt
"CAPSIZED CAPPP....." before I could even finished the word, I was down in the sea.
Telvin came on with his kayak, paddling hard to reach towards me. All that came to his mind was the T-rescue which we picked up during our 1 Star Course few months back. Instead of being thankful, out of sheer mischievous, I capsized his kayak too. Both of us were down in the water with our only means of survival, our FLOATING DEVICE.
We were trying really hard to execute the TX rescue but to no avail due to our inconsistencies in practicing our strokes and etc... There was a modicum of faith in our hearts that we will reach the shore safely unless someone saw us and rescue us. The thought of giving up rescue and swim back to shore with our capsized kayak strucked telvin. To do a quick estimation of where we are exactly, I confronted him sternly that we gotta carry on with our rescue. Because we are being drifted away too far from the shore, even behind the last Kelong that was on the sea. We couldn't believe our eyes at that time. So we kept trying till we are up on our kayak.
Life is just filled with ambiguities.
It is never predictable like you have always imagined. Never paint too much colours in life, do not try to perfect the painting over and over again, what is paramount is that you cherish the loved ones around you and be contented with what you own. That is life, people who have hurt you or let you down, do not dwell upon it, its time to move on ! There is a saying, " Let bygones be bygones", what has happened had already happened, opened wounds will leave a scar behind, this scar is not to remind you of the unpleasant but to teach you how to be more weary and ultimately avoid the same incident from happening. Look ahead and see what this life may offer you instead !
A single kayaking experience taught me several lessons which I'm ignorant of.
