Good slackers !
We are told to poke some holes and attach a string to it and secure it on the poles of the bus stops.
Being good slackers, we sat comfortably on the couch of the lobby and slowly poking the holes, attaching the strings and enjoying the air con !

Bang and me in action.
We are good slackers and good workers as well.
Not only good pay but also good food.
Look at rek's tofu, he took so much but it all ended up in the bin.

How can you keep splurging and not earning?

- Many claimed that teens love to spend but yet lazy to work -

I strongly agree with that statement because I'm just one of them! Splurging is so much easier, all you need to do is to eye on something you like then reach out for your wallet and just pay for it. Simple Transaction. But did you realise that your fountain of wealth will eventually dry up if you keep spending and not earning?

Many may ask, why did you mention this all of the sudden?

Simple, I want to bring up a emphasis on Independence.

I have been working in this Jap Restaurant for quite some time and everytime I never failed to realised that they were always wealthy people and children born with a silver spoon in our midst.
* Case sensitive: But before I continue, let me assert that in everything which I am about to say, I do not hold any prejudiced view against wealthy people. This is just a mere remark / opinion of mine, yours may differ.

Independence is absolutely reliant on the upbringing of a child. Why do I say that ? When a child gets all he / she wants from young, there will definitely be a high tendency of he/she relying on the parents for stuffs they want as they progress from the stages of their life. Interestingly they do not need to work for it, all they need to do is open their mouth and "Naaaa, there you go my beloved son"

Parents failed to realise that the cravings of their children will grow even more until they themselves couldn't provide anymore.

Parents should also play a part in nurturing their kids from young and not wait till you see your kid heading to the wrong path in life. Many rich parents are like that ( esp those businessman), all they need to do before they go for a really long business trip is to leave a lump sum of money for their kids so that all needs of their children are taken care of and their mind are set at ease. But little did they realise that that lump sum of easy money for the kids are like milestones, destructing the life of the child. I believe that love will not even exist within the family, the child experience an artificial love, they took that lump sum of money as love from their parents.
I have friends who are in this situation and it's really despairing.

More examples:

Some parents also do not encourage their children to work. They feel that their main priority is to study, all of their needs shall be taken care by them.

Some give their children so readily without taking a moment to ponder whether they deserve it or not.

Sushi tei experience: 6 year old kid still on a baby pram !

Eavesdropped from a customer when I'm serving tea( a lady in her 20s speaking to a guy) : "Hey you know I'm a spoiled brat, I don't do house chores!"

This is totally terrible ! Imagine you are going to be a housewife in the next 8years, that's when the reliance of a maid comes in.

*Case sensitive: Some may be disgruntled over what I've said because you have a maid at home. But please read in context yeah.

"milestones, destructing the life of the child " : sounds so profound, elaborate more.
How does pampering the kid destruct the life of the child ?

1. He will place his dependency on someone else rather than himself

2.He will not be able to adapt and resolve the crisis of his life because he is too used to the life he once had, anything outside that boundary is something which he cannot bear. In short, he cannot take challenges in life.

3.He will never be a contributor to the society. He knows that working is tough and he chose to rely on someone else for provision (family, relatives, spouse.....) instead of getting a proper job.

and the list goes on . . .

This entry is just a glimpse of it, I can talk all night about it but will you continue to read on? I doubt so. haha so do take those points into consideration, the future is in your hands, either you make it or break it !

Political Unrest in Myanmar (headline)

Just For Laugh (Episode 1)

This is one of the funny videos which I chanced upon this afternoon @ youtube. It is about this famous local comedian, Hosen Leong, who was given a slot during Dick's Lee Concert to liven the mood. So sit back, relax and listen carefully to what he have to say.

My Lantern Festival Experience

Sometimes, it is really a privilege being a kid afterall.
Not only you can do all the things you want, the funny part is that you will never be wronged by anyone. No one can blame a little kid for his/her wrongdoings.

As I recollected the lantern festival which I spent over at Block 299 with some friends last year, the traumatized experience still strucked me hard up to this date.

The Story Begins . . .

25 September 2006, met up with Michelle, Choon Hua, Qianling, Jason, Bingsoon and Jason's friends at the badminton to spend lantern festival together. Our main objective was never to play fire, but to spend time together chatting and playing badminton. Everything was still perfect until 11pm sharp, where the lights of the badminton court were off !

No more badminton ! So the only thing we can do next is just to chit chat and crap around with one another.

Then . . . Temptation started to arise, being mesmerized by what the other kids were doing, we decided to follow suit as well. Needless to say, with all the equipments we had, like candles, lighter, matches, paper and lanterns, we decided to get the Lantern Festival mood rolling. We started to melt the candle, burn paper, even worn off shuttlecocks.

It was until the clock strucked 12plus in the night where 2 police cars came, the entire mood started to change. Few policemen with 2 fireman and 2 high ranking officers came to us and called us to squad down. Reason being : Some busybody called the police and accused us of setting fire to burn down public property.

To cut the story short, jason with his 2 other friends and me were called back to the station. Look at the entire process:

1. We were told to form a train ( like those kids in the kindergarten, playing tu-tu train. they need to place their hands on the shoulders of the person standing in front of them) and walk to the police van. (gosh we looked like some spastic retards)

2.Then when we board the van, we were chatting behind and were laughing at our folly, unfortunately the policeman in front scolded us and told us to SHUT UP !

3. Over at Sengkang NPC, we waited for such a long time before we individually get into the room for our interview ! ( haha not interview la , it's taking down of statement)

4. Finally, when we have all finished dropping down our statement ( which is already 3am), we are then allowed to leave the station.

So don't you agree that being a kid is just too wonderful ?

Happy Lantern / Mooncake / Mid - Autumn Festival

This day is indeed a special day !

It is part of my childhood life, as I spend the night with my family having moon cakes and tea together, going for some lantern walk around the neighbourhood, spending time with friends burning papers, melting candles and playing fire ! Those were the days which etched deeply in my heart.
As we grow up gradually, we lose all of these privileges. Being 19th this year, I just couldn't do the things which I used to do when I was like below 12 years of age.

Why ?

My next picture will tell you the reasons behind it.

Sushi Tei

I'm DEAD BEAT !

Today started work at 11pm and end around like 10.30pm. Now I realised that money is so hard to earn. Working at Sushi Tei is so much different from the other cafes I'd worked in. The business was so good, from lunch to dinner, people keep coming in, the staffs kept shouting "Welcome" (in Japanese of course). I wasn't surprise when I was told that this restaurant in VIVO specifically can earn up to more that 10grand during weekday and more that 20grand during weekend !This is utterly crazy manx!

And . . . .

There is certainly no room for slacking manx !

But 1 important thing I will want to highlight of the staffs is that, they are trained to work together like a family. Everyone shares one another's burden.

You may ask : "How certain can you be, it's your 1st day after all ! "

My supporting factors:
1. The manager James taught them to do so, he told one of the staffs to teach me about harmony as a team, that whenever we need to stock up utensils, saucers or plates, we do not stock up only for the particular section we are working in, but the other sections as well.

2. Even though I'm new, the senior staffs did not take advantage of me, they help me as much as I can irregardless whether it's peak or non peak period. So in return, I offer help to them too !

3. Lastly, the staffs possess this character of taking initiative. When customers leave the table, they don't wait for other staffs to clear and pretending not to see, but they rush forward and clean up the table.

Even though I'm really tired, but it is a fulfilling experience for me manx, know alot of people, make new friends, eat the leftover sushi together,( Expensive sushi okay !), laugh together.
It was indeed satisfying !

But I am still waiting for Friday to come where I can work with Mk, I will see his performance, I heard compliments from people about him, so I must really witness it myself. So Mk see you on Fri ar ! haha

Alright, I do not want to spend too much time here, I'm really lethargic ! So tired that when I placed my finger on a hot bowl of soup, my mind take 2seconds to respond that the bowl is hot. So ended up with a scalded finger. haha so dumb right, but it's a new discovery !

Alright see you guys, gota go. Any activities feel free let me know ! Like gym, swim or whatsoever, no harm asking okay.

Check your keyboard and make sure that you aint drooling !

Weekdays are really good for shopping. Look how empty is the mall.

As a parent, if you were to give 2 choices to your child right now :

1. Bagful of delightful sweets from Sweet Palace
2. Fifteen Minutes to play at this playground

I guess the obvious answer will be that he/she will choose to spend 15mins here.

Why?
1. Not only they got to play the slide or whatsoever facilities
2. There will be opportunities to know new friends too
3. And if they happen to play Digimons or PSP, all they need to do is just to establish a connection with the devices of other kids and there goes their game

This is not one of the Skydeck Decor's but a reminder to all smokers

Vivo City

Went VIVO today with Meng Kiat.
Good news, I will be working tmr @ Sushi Teh , do remember to wave, smile, shout or even say "HI" to me when you happen to pass by the Jap Restaurant.

So what I did for today ?
After visiting Sushi Teh, mengkiat started work and I went to Coffee Bean to grab a nice and aromatic cup of Ice-Blended Belgian Chocolate. It taste really good ! A combined mixture of Coffee and Chocolate! While enjoying my cup of Ice Blended chocolate, I did my bible study homework there too (utilize time) .

4.30pm, went to meet Mengkiat for lunch @ Food Republic. I just love the ambience there, a good school kind of feeling, where you see aunty and uncles in their straw hats and nice old apparels. We had Sotong Noodles anyway. Mk gota rushed back by 6pm, while I take my time heading towards the MRT to take a train to church.

Class end at 10.15pm, took a bus back and happened to knock into John from CVSS. Had a good chat too. Came back not long ago, will be sleeping after today's entry cause tmr I will be working at 11am.

More pictures will be up !

End it off with a Desert Wine which cost $200/bottle.

Unfortunately I am someone who doesn't fancy wine.
Jamin & Yan Xiang

BBQ @ Symphony Heights

Sunday:
Due to lack of sleep from the previous night, my entire day was ruined ! Argh !

Slept during Sermons, lose focus when Pastor was preaching, no mood to do anything but to sleep, sleeping during Cell group, feeling irritated . . .

Now you see the effects of inadequate sleep coming !

So peeps out there, remember to have plenty of rest or else your day won't be fulfilling and exciting !

Saturday :

Went for Cell Group Farewell BBQ Session over @ Symphony Heights (Upp Bukit Timah)
Had a great deal of fun as we did lots of catching up of one another, played some really stupid games, enjoying the scrumptious barbecued food . . . .

We ended around 12midnight and I managed to stayed over at one of my brother's place at Choa Chu Kang.
Reason being, we can go church together the next morning as service starts at 9am.

That's all for the day, more pictures will be up soon, so stay tuned !

Cause Effects of Insufficient Sleep

Cause Effects of inadequate Sleep:

1. Affects our ability to function both Mentally & Physically
2. Increase risk of Obesity , Diabetes & Heart Diseases
3.Affects your immune system
4. Causing excessive daytime sleepiness and fatigue
5. Lose Focus
6. short-tempered

Let me share with you my folly for today.

I was mending with my blog until 7.30am this morning and I was supposed to attend a meeting in school at 10am. So as estimated, the latest time for me to shower will be 8.15am. Went to take a short nap, set my alarm and hoping that I can wake up just in time for shower.

Things always turn out the way I lest expected it to be ! Wondering why it took so long for 45mins to pass ( 7.30am - 8.15am ) . It was when I'd realized that my short nap turned out to be a DEEP sleep. It was 12.30pm on the clock and gosh, I rush and took a cab to school. Cost a bomb manx ! 18bucks just went out of my pocket unknowingly.

Cause effects of inadequate sleep started to take it's course !

I was day dreaming during the entire meeting, was introvert ( energy is wasted when you talk to people, so might as well conserve it ! ) and I was stoning without any focus. It was really bad, so better think twice before you gave those sweet little hours of sleep away for the things you are engrossed with (relationship, late night calls, blogging, surfing the net, gaming . . .)

Later in the evening, met up with Deming and Mengkiat for dinner at Kovan. Food there were superb, delicious and worth for money. It is accompanied with a good ambience too, a guy playing harmonica to raise funds for charity. After dinner, we walked down the streets of Kovan and chanced upon a Cybercafe, so decided to get in to kill some time there. Deming introduced us a fun and adventurous game, Serious Sam! This is really fun, addictive and it's simple to play. All you need to do is to kill weird and cute looking monsters and most importantly, it's suitable for all ages and both genders ! So do catch that if you see it in the cybercafe.

10.30pm on our watch and down we went to this Azeera Prata Shop near Kovan to have our supper. Had pratas and bryani and iced limau. Good recommendation for late night suppers (* Bang take note) Good time spent with both of them too !

Lastly, want to thank Deming aka David for his help in enhancing some pictures of mine and giving me ideas how to personalized my blog, tomorrow we will be doing some major works to further progess my blog. So do wait for updates.

Alright I will need sleep badly, I do not want effects of inadequate sleep !

Vous voir !

Blog Under Renovation

Hi all, time check for now is 6.29am in the morning ! My night just passed me by so swiftly, I have spent the entire night mending on my blog. Without saying, I am indeed a HTML noob, but it is really satisfying to see great improvements. Yeah I think I'm almost done with my blog, just need to personalized it. I will need help, so if you think you have what it takes to deal with HTML codings, do look for me in MSN and I will definitely appreciate that.

Thanks Meng Kiat for volunteering to help. Alright I have a meeting at about 9am and I think I will need some sleep at least.

Vous voir !
